Our volunteers have been working hard to explore local issues that are present in our Parish and the best way to resolve them. In doing so, we have realised that we are either missing some key information or would like to get an early steer from the community on how best to overcome the issues identified. As a result, the Steering Group have launched this Topic Paper Consultation which will run from Friday 19th March and close at midnight on 11th April.

What is the format of the consultation?

This consultation comprises three separate surveys. They are:

  • Business Survey
  • Valued Views Survey
  • Climate Change Survey

Ideally you'd complete them all (if applicable), alternatively you can just complete the survey you're most interested in. Remember - responses must be received no later than midnight on 11th April 2021.

Who can respond?

We want to hear from everyone who has a stake in our community, whether you live, work or use the Parish for recreational reasons. That said, the Business Survey is aimed at those who run/operate businesses (or are self employed) within the Parish.

How do I respond?

Business Survey

Our local economy is vital, it supports a local people both by offering employment and providing local shops/services. Whether you are a small business working from home, or a larger one providing work to many, if you operate in the Parish we would love to hear from you so that we can make sure our neighbourhood plan provides the support our local economy needs.

Valued Views Survey

People have said they value the tranquillity and rural setting of Chartham. We are looking to better understand the rural setting of Chartham parish’s settlements and what views/aspects in particular the community values. Please help us by clicking on this link to let us know the views you value, and upload photos of your favourite views.

Climate Change Survey

There are very real actions we can take in our local community to help combat climate change. Our volunteers have been looking hard at local issues and the results of this survey will help us to decide which solutions would gain the most support locally. Please help us, and our planet, by giving your views via the survey below!
